Introduction:

To lead a country one has to believe it and love it. Siilanyo after he took off the sheep’s clothing in day one of his election as a President showed that he neither believe nor love his country. He followed his boss, Siyad Barre’s foot steps. Now it is up to Somaliland people, the conscionable sector of them to save the country and the region from the effects of Siilanyo and Suleiman. The international community has the moral role to intervene and help Somaliland people and the region in general and save them from Siilanyo and Suleiman because what they are doing will have broad consequences to the region as a whole. Their unlawful actions are helping Alshabaab Inc. they are helping them inadvertently! They have undermined all that has been achieved for the last 24 years in a serious way.

The damage has already been done. Somaliland is a wounded nation. The only thing one has to consider is to rescue and salvage Somaliland what ever is left of her. Almost every thing Somaliland was different from Somalia like, democracy and the rule of law has been wiped out systematically through out the infamous five years of Siilanyo’s tenure. There is an obstinate insistence on the part of the oligarch there to further continue do these destructive acts. If the evil force, the oligarch in charge is not stopped Somaliland will go to Ashabaab. Somaliland friends could not believe what is happening to Somaliland! Somaliland seems heading in a fast track mode towards the quagmire Somalia is in and has been in. If the tendency and speed Somaliland is going to words that direction is not reversed, Somaliland will surpass Somalia in civil wars and extremism. The saying goes that ‘prevention is better than cure’. The local forces and the international community must prevent before disaster descends on Somaliland in full force and if not confronted it now it will come down on Somaliland sooner than one might think.

The illegitimate Siilanyo’s administration can not be trusted for elections:

1. a) A dysfunctional, deceptive and corrupt administration which long time ago lost the trust of the people and lost integrity as a government now lost legitimacy therefore can not be trusted to hold fair and unfettered elections. On the other hand they don’t intend to hold elections after all! They showed the world that they are not trustworthy when you reflect what they have done to the only election (municipal) they ever held during their tenure
2. b) Are they able and willing to hold elections? The answer to this question is

They had five years and they refused to hold elections. They manifested that in so many different ways and means because they don’t want to transfer power democratically, honorably and peacefully. They decided to stay there to embezzle public funds and public properties even more.

1. c) The government’s action or in action set the sleeper cells of Al shabaab and affiliated groups to take over Somaliland whether Siilanyo and Suleiman intended to do that or not. d) They also set Somaliland for civil war. Any body with eyes to see and ears to hear and a mind to think see these situations clearly and in a Technicolor.

Suleiman Gaal the last man who left Mogadishu after Siyad Barre left there and known as an evil man and Abdi Warabi a cabal has no legal as well as moral authority to extend any term for an illegitimate government its term has expired because they themselves and the house of Guurti itself are illegitimate. They outlived their usefulness and now they morphed as part of the national problem

All of them, the Guurti, the Parliament and the Government are there only for themselves. They are there to collect generous salaries from the poor people of Somaliland illegitimately for they are illegal to be where they are now and they don’t have to gather salaries with out work rendered. They don’t represent any one any more!

Siilanyo’s administration has morphed to a Warlord enterprise status.

1) The illegitimate Siilanyo administration created conflicts of inter-clan nature. They also created deep political conflicts that could give Alshabaab Inc. to take over Somaliland and de-stabilize the region as a whole

2) The police shoot civilians at will by the order of the Siilanyo representatives. Shooting innocent civilians is an every day occurrence in the country. There is a Para-Military special unit (RRU) which works for the Presidency. Its job is to suppress dissent and kill civilians at will as well. They are a terror machine, a “Hangash” all over again!

3) Security is sloppy at best because it was the people who were policing their communities in cooperation with the police. Now this national cooperative undertaking has ended when the government killed and alienated the people for their opinions

4) Solders are shooting their superiors. Discipline and the coherence of the national army are alarmingly in disarray. If this trend continues, it is a matter of time when the Army will disintegrate

5) Siilanyo administration let lose every body in his circle to misappropriate public funds as well as the public properties with impunity.

6) The poor and the vulnerable has been rolled over, disposed and dragged out of the scene.

7) They destroyed the dignity, integrity and the reputation Somaliland has earned over the years. They made Somaliland a laughing stock of the world

8) They made the recognition of Somaliland void because of what they did and because of what they did not do. Look back all destructive steps Siilanyo administration has taken over the years. The Ministry of foreign affairs is practically closed. What would they do? Well they are there in name

Conflict creators must be called for what they are; war lords and dealt with them as such

What Siilanyo and Suleiman Gaal are doing to Somaliland is egregious affront to the very foundations upon which Somaliland was built to sustain and flourish as a constitutional and a democratic state. The two above characters demolished the good character of the Somaliland people as a looking forward God fearing society. In every moral person who voiced his or her opinion, they created thirty immoral ones whose job is to bark after them.
A slow motion erosion of what Somaliland has achieved stepped on the finish line. It has been undermined and dismantled in five years of Siilanyo’s administration. It seems that was Siilanyo’s plan!

What is happening in Somaliland shocks the conscience.

1. a) The government lost integrity and the trust of the people long time ago.
2. b) Now they lost legitimacy to represent the people any more because their term in office has ended in July, 2015.
3. c) Suleiman Gaal and Abdi Warabi can not legitimize an illegitimate government (with no valid reasons) because not only the government’s term of office has ended but the above mentioned two old men and their (Guurti) house are illegitimate for their term in office has outlived its usefulness and thus expired long time ago before Siilanyo’s Presidency
4. d) The house of Representatives is as well illegitimate for their term in office has ended too. All of them cash generous pay checks notwithstanding! Shame! In fact shame ashamed of their actions. They lost their conscience and they are with out Moral bearing

Conclusion:

Conscience is the moral voice of the person. It is our guidance to wards what is right and erects barrier against what is wrong. When any society deprived that conscience that society goes down to the bottom. Such situation is prevalent in Somaliland! The Somaliland situation is an issue of immense concern and has an colossal ramification to the sustainability and even existence of Somaliland

To rescue Somaliland means to keep extremist fanatics at bay. It means to keep the peace not only for Somaliland but the region as a whole. Above all it means to get rid off this illegitimate entity of Siilanyo

The only way to do that is:

1. A) Let Somaliland elections occur on time As Siilanyo’s government showed not only their ineptness and dishonesty but that they as well showed they are against fair and unfettered elections in so many times and in so many ways, therefore they can not be trusted for the elections!
2. B) A Provisional Council its job is to hold elections ought to be formed and entrusted to hold elections as soon as possible. Any thing else will render Somaliland in to a civil unrest and that will be in favor of the extremists waiting in the wings

All stake holders of the peace and stability of Somaliland local and international communities must take Somaliland situation seriously thus deal with as such
